Our Program Makes Retrievers Crazy About Retrieving

Obedience Program
The foundation of the BK obedience program involves the teaching of four (4) basic obedience commands: sit, stay, heel, and come. At the completion of your dogs training, he or she should be capable of recognizing and properly responding to these commands under practically all circumstances. There are other commands that your dog will be accustomed to hearing once he/she returns home. These include no, hush, kennel, down, and ok. These additional obedience commands will be explained in more detail at the time you bring your dog in for training. There may also be specific training commands that you have already taught your dog which are different than those listed above, but have the same meaning. Please inform me of these commands before you leave your dog so that they can be utilized during the training process and avoid potential confusion.
Force Breaking Program
What should you expect from your dog after the completion of having your dog "force fetched?"
All dogs must have completed obedience training before they start the force fetching program. Your dog will learn how to hold bumpers and birds. They will also retrieve bumpers and birds while delivering to hand.

Field Training
After completion of obedience
and force training they will start on single marks on land and water. We will run
lining drills and bumper piles to keep your dog progressing. Once your dog has
showed progress your dog will keep moving to more difficult retrieves.
